Micro Rules: Roll a D20 To Determine Wind Strength and Direction for Wolves Upon the Coast
Wolves Upon the Coast: Pretty rad. I actually like the daily weather regional weather rules but, really, 2d6 for wind strength and a separate d6 for wind direction and a separate roll for how many days it lasts is rather onerous. In my own hack I've therefore collapsed wind direction and strength into a d20 roll.
My assumption, by the by, is that RAW WUTC storms give your boats a 30% of overturning each day while gales don't. Storms only happen due to the d6 wx roll, gales happen even in fair weather as consequence of the wind roll. I would be curious to hear your takes on this.
WEATHER
Weather tables are customized for each area. Wind from behind a boat speeds it by the first number; Wind adjacent to a boat speeds it by the second number, and wind ahead of a boat slows it by the third.
- Each day, roll weather
- Roll d20 for wind conditions. Row indicates strength, column indicates direction: Counter Clockwise, No Change, Clockwise. Wind conditions persist for 1d6 days.
