(DAILY) Wx Check, d10. Apply daily weather. If arrow emanated from entry, next day's wx roll will be in the indicated column. The arrow does not point to a specific entry on that column. The general entry for the day is usually adequate. But, circumstances may require additional specificity. If so:
Wind is by hex side. It is always reported by the direction from which it is blowing (on a pointy-end-up hex: NE, E, SE, SW, W, NW). Whenever it becomes relevant, wind has a prv-in-16 chance of being prevailing.
If <= prv, use the 'if prevailing' column and only the strength may vary.
If > prv, use the 'if varying' column. Direction may be clockwise (CW) or counterclockwise (CCW) and strength may be greater or lesser.
Note: Wind barbs have Roman numerals indicating strength (not knots).
Weather types for the day are separated by a "/". For any hour there is a wx-in-6 chance of the former weather, otherwise the latter weather occurs. For example, Wx4 RA+/SH has a 4-in-d6 chance of heavy rain, otherwise being showers.
Precipitation while temperature is CLD or lower is always as snow. Precip during COOL may freeze or remain liquid randomly or according to the luck of the party.
Temperature is the province's seasonal prevailing modified by weekly tempStab roll unless two consecutive days in one column cause it to upgrade or downgrade on the third according to TEMP VARIATION.
In most terrain, Nights are one step cooler 50% of the time. In deserts or steppes, nights are two steps cooler 50% of the time and one step cooler otherwise.
